Africa Psoriasis Organization was founded and is directed by people who have a chronic skin condition or disease called psoriasis. A group of people with psoriasis had been gathering for over two years since October 2006 to share their frustration of living with psoriasis. In February, 2009 they decided that a far greater mission begged for their attention. They resolved to register a psoriasis organization to address their needs. This was after their realization of the rampant public and government authorities ignorance about psoriasis, the little interest and completely no money for psoriasis research, the inspiration by the fact that psoriasis is on the spotlight globally and the resolve that it is time for them to play an important role of tackling and addressing their psoriasis needs.
